EDINA

MARCH 30

Theft. Two 12-year-old girls were arrested on suspicion of theft after they were caught allegedly stealing $1,161 worth of clothing at J.C. Penney in Southdale Center.

APRIL 1

Theft. A light bulb was stolen from the 5500 block of Oaklawn Avenue.

Terroristic threats. A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of terroristic threats with a BB-gun on the 5300 block of Vernon Avenue.

Drugs. Three 16-year-old boys were arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and damage to property after a mailbox was damaged on the 6400 block of Limerick Drive.

APRIL 2

Drunken driving. A 65-year-old Edina woman was arrested for drunken driving on the 3900 block of 70th Street.

GREENWOOD

APRIL 4

Weapon. A resident on Channel Drive and St. Albans Green reported that his garage door was struck by a bullet when his neighbor was shooting at a beaver.

HOPKINS

APRIL 2

Weapon. Someone turned in a bayonet to the police department, 1010 1st St. S., to be destroyed.

Animal complaint. A dog was placed on home quarantine after it bit someone on the 110 block of Blake Road S.

APRIL 4

Check welfare. Officers responded to a home on the 100 block of Maple Hill Road regarding a 911 hang-up call. It was discovered that a child had been playing with the phone.

INDEPENDENCE

APRIL 4

Assist animal. An officer observed a loose horse running down County Road 90 toward Highway 12. The officer shut down Highway 12 and was able to catch the horse. A female pulled up in a vehicle and said she had fallen off the horse and it took off running.

MARCH 28

Fire. Officers responded to a home on the 5100 block of Main Street E. regarding a residential fire alarm. Spray from a deodorant can set the alarm off. There wasn't a fire.

MEDINA

MARCH 30

Weapon. Officers gave a verbal warning to a 14-year-old boy and his father after it was discovered that the boy was discharging a pellet gun on city property.

MARCH 31

Theft. Two pine trees were stolen from a home on the 1200 block of Oakview Road. They were dug up by their roots and removed.

RICHFIELD

APRIL 15

Theft. A 1992 Ford Explorer was stolen from the 6800 block of Columbus Avenue.

Theft. A 42-year-old Brooklyn Park woman was arrested on suspicion of stealing laundry detergent, valued at $107.91, from Rainbow Foods, 140 66th St. W.

APRIL 17

Assault. A 23-year-old Minneapolis woman was cited for assault on the 7600 block of Penn Avenue S.

APRIL 18

Disorderly conduct. A 52-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct after he was found allegedly harassing customers at Home Depot, 6301 Richfield Pkwy.

APRIL 19

Theft. Two embroidery machines, valued at $10,000 each, and other items were stolen from a home on the 7600 block of 15th Avenue S.

Shorewood

APRIL 8

Drugs. A 37-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, giving police officers a false name, having an open bottle and two outstanding warrants on 3rd Avenue and Christmas Lake Road.
