CHASKA

Animal complaint: An officer assisted a resident in removing a muskrat that had fallen into a window well at a home.

Edina

OCT. 2

Burglary: Two Minneapolis men, ages 28 and 32, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, assault, vehicle theft and possession of burglary tools after officers responded to suspicious activity at a home in the 4400 block of Parklawn Avenue.

Drugs: A 17-year-old boy was arrested for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a weapon on school property at Edina High School, 6754 Valley View Road.

INDEPENDENCE

OCT. 6

Runaway: A woman reported that her son went to a football game and was to get a ride home with a friend, but had not returned. Officers located her son at school, waiting for his parents to pick him up.

MAPLE GROVE

OCT. 2

Theft: A trailer was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 6300 block of Balsam Lane.

MEDINA

OCT. 1

Property damage: Someone shot paintballs at a garage door of a home in the 100 block of Crestview Lane.

MINNETRISTA

OCT. 5

Property damage: A resident on Kramer Road reported that pumpkins valued at $30 were smashed.

PLYMOUTH

OCT. 3

Assault: A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault and suspended from school after he lit another student's hair on fire at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School, 10635 36th Av. N.

OCT. 4

Robbery: A cash and safe were stolen after the suspect robbed at gunpoint the front-desk clerk at Days Inn, 2955 Empire Lane.

OCT. 12

Arson: A portable toilet and wooden enclosure were set on fire in the 5500 block of Brockton Lane.

Drunken driving: A 20-year-old Plymouth man was cited for underage consumption after officers responded to a suspicious vehicle on Gleason Lake Drive and Orchid Lane.

OCT. 14

Burglary: Cash and household items were stolen from a home on the 13300 block of 58th Avenue. Entry was gained through an open garage door.

RICHFIELD

OCT. 23

Theft: A tip jar was stolen from Andale Taqueria & Mercado, 7700 Nicollet Av. S.

OCT. 24

Theft: A Minneapolis man, 22, was cited for theft after refusing to pay his cab fare on 76th Street and Knox Avenue S.

OCT. 26

Fight: A 23-year-old Richfield man was arrested for disorderly conduct after he was fighting another male in the front yard of a home in the 7300 block of 4th Avenue S. The other male was taken to the hospital.

Theft: Someone stole $180 from an employee's purse while she was working at Popeye's, 220 66th St. W.

OCT. 27

Burglary: Someone stole $17 in change from the register at Vina Restaurant, 6401 Nicollet Av. S. Entry was gained through a roof vent.
