AUG. 2

Animal complaint: A resident on the 800 block of Mainstreet was provided information on bat removal.

AUG. 3

Animal complaint: Someone called to report two dead baby squirrels in the 900 block of 11th Avenue S.

INDEPENDENCE

JULY 31

Noise complaint: Officers responded to a home on the 3300 block of Lake Haughey regarding a squawking sound coming from a neighbor's vineyard. The homeowners told officers they use a predator call to keep birds from eating the grapes. They agreed to turn the volume down.

AUG. 1

Drunken driving. An 18-year-old Minnetonka man was cited for underage drinking and driving after he fell asleep and went into a ditch on the 7800 block of Highway 12. The passenger, an 18-year-old Plymouth man, was cited for consumption by a minor.

JULY 29

Welfare check: An intoxicated man was taken home after he was found lying in the middle of a parking lot on the 5100 block of Main Street. He had attempted to walk home from the bar.

JULY 30

Drugs: A woman reported that she may have been drugged through her food or water. Officers did not discover any evidence to support her claim.

MEDINA

JULY 28

Theft: A 15-year-old boy was cited for theft after he allegedly stole a pack of cigarettes from a store on the 700 block of Hwy. 55. He was released to a parent.

PLYMOUTH

AUG. 2

Arson: A wooden fence was lit on fire at a home on the 5500 block of Brockton Lane.

AUG. 4

Drugs: Two girls, ages 15 and 17, were cited for possession of marijuana after officers found them smoking it in a vehicle on the 4700 block of Nathan Lane.

RICHFIELD

AUG. 21

Drugs: Officers responded to the Augsburg Park Library, 7100 Nicollet Av. S., regarding a report of a male attempting to sell heroin. A 20-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after heroin was found in his backpack.

AUG. 23

Theft: Small amounts of change were taken from three unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway of a home on 13th Avenue S. The victim was advised to lock the vehicles.

AUG. 26

Weapon: Officers responded to the 7100 block of Cedar Avenue S. regarding a report of a disturbance. A 22-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested after a firearm was found in his possession.
