Animal complaint. A snapping turtle was reported on the deck of a home on the 7200 block of Frontier Trail.

WEEK OF JUNE 17

Drugs. Someone turned over to police a backpack that was found in a parking lot on Village Road. Officers searched the contents to identify an owner and discovered marijuana. The female owner was contacted and told that the marijuana would not be returned to her. She came to the police department to retrieve her backpack and was given a citation for possession of marijuana.

WEEK OF JUNE 24

Suspicious activity. A woman reported a suspicious package at the end of her driveway. Officers discovered that the "package" was a shadow from a sign in her yard.

Miscellaneous. A juvenile male called 911 and reported he was unable to get back into his house after sneaking out.

Animal complaint. Someone called police to complain that a turtle was laying eggs on the side of the road and was advised that it was normal activity for a turtle.

EDINA

JULY 13

Theft. An unlocked 2005 BMW X3 was stolen from the 500 block of Arthur Street. According to police reports, the owner believes the keys were left in the vehicle.

JUNE 18

Medical. A woman was taken to the hospital after she was run over by a riding lawn mower when she fell off it on Trillium Lane.

JUNE 20

Dispute. Officers mediated a dispute between neighbors on Tower Street.

Animal complaint. A person reported that a bat was in a house on the 100 block of Railroad Street W.

PLYMOUTH

JUNE 13

Burglary. Copper pipes and a water heater were stolen from a building set to be demolished on the 4100 block of Vinewood Lane N.

JUNE 14

Weapon. A 32-year-old Richfield woman was arrested for shooting a gun through the floor of an apartment and into the unit below on the 3600 block of Lancaster Lane N. No one was injured.

RICHFIELD

JULY 15

Drunken driving. A 43-year-old Richfield man was arrested for drunken driving at Richfield Municipal Liquor store, 6444 Penn Av. S. He had attempted to purchase alcohol at two different liquor stores and was refused due to his intoxicated state, police said.

Drugs. A 42-year-old Richfield woman was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia in her apartment on the 7000 block of Cedar Avenue S. Officers were there to assist in a verbal dispute and noticed a marijuana grinder in plain view in the bedroom.

JULY 16

Child neglect. A mother left her two children, ages 5 and 7, home alone on the 7700 block of 4th Avenue S.

JULY 17

Disorderly conduct. A 22-year-old Richfield man was cited for disorderly conduct after officers responded to an assault report at an apartment on the 7600 block of Penn Avenue S.

JULY 18

Drunken driving. A 43-year-old Robbinsdale man was arrested for drunken driving and illegal transport of firearms in a motor vehicle on 62nd Street E. and Portland Avenue following a routine traffic stop. Twelve shotguns and rifles in the vehicle were being illegally transported.
