Missing person. The parent of a 17-year-old girl called to report that she was missing from their home on the 9600 block of County Road 116. An officer attempted to reach the girl but the calls went directly to voice mail. An officer called the family the next morning and was told that she returned home between 4 and 6 a.m.
Vandalism. A burning bag of dog feces was thrown on the front porch of a home on the 6700 block of Horseshoe Bend Drive.
Theft. A 2003 Jeep Laredo was stolen from an underground garage on the 4000 block of Parklawn Avenue.
Drugs. A 15-year-old boy was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the 4700 block of Southview Lane.
Missing person. A 27-year-old man was reported missing from his home on the 5500 block of Mirror Lakes Drive. Police discovered he was not missing — he was on vacation in Florida.
Theft. A plastic coyote decoy was stolen from the playfield at Excelsior Elementary School, 441 Oak St. It had been put there to repel geese.
Burglary. A 48-year-old woman was arrested for the burglary of a home on 16th Avenue N. Witnesses saw her break a window with a hammer, kick down a door and enter the home. The suspect and the resident both had dated the same man, police said.
Theft. Koi fish were stolen from a pond on the 18100 block of 89th Place.
Disorderly conduct. A 17-year-old boy was arrested for disorderly conduct on the 4100 block of Hubbard Avenue N.
Theft. A Minnetrista woman left her purse in a shopping cart outside Cub Foods, 23800 Hwy. 7. When she returned a short time later, the purse was gone.
Burglary. Cigars, cigarettes and cash were stolen from Shorewood Cigar and Tobacco, 23710 Hwy. 7.
Animal complaint. A woman from a home on the 25500 block of Orchard Circle called police to find out how to get a bat tested for rabies because her cat had just killed one. She was advised to call the University of Minnesota.
Suspicious activity. A woman reported that a suspicious vehicle entered her driveway on the 27900 block of Smithtown Road, then turned around and left. Officers located the vehicle on Birch Bluff Road; the driver was delivering newspapers.
Suspicious activity. Two men with a white van reportedly were walking around carrying pipes in the 100 block of Interlachen Lane. Officers found them to be city public works vehicles and the men were working on the sewer system.
Animal complaint. Someone called police to help them remove a dead rat from the 100 block of Crabapple Lane.
Drugs. A 17-year-old New Germany boy was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the 1000 block of Hwy. 25 NW.
