Assault. An 18-year-old Victoria man was cited for assault and underage consumption of alcohol on the 7900 block of Market Boulevard. Another 18-year-old man was cited for underage consumption.

FEB. 19

Assist public. Someone called to report that children were locked in a vehicle on the 100 block of Castle Ridge Court.

FEB. 22

Underage drinking. A 19-year-old Mayer man was cited for underage consumption of alcohol on Powers Boulevard and Pioneer Trail.

FEB. 18

Drunken driving. A 66-year-old Victoria woman was arrested for drunken driving on Hwy. 7 and Water Street following a traffic stop for erratic driving.

FEB. 25

Animal complaint. A resident reported that an opossum was sitting on her back porch and scaring her on the 100 block of George Street. An officer arrived and the opossum was gone. She was advised of companies to contact that remove nuisance animals.

HOPKINS

FEB. 21

Forgery. A 26-year-old Hugo man was arrested for forgery of a prescription for narcotics at Walgreens, 1511 Hwy. 7.

FEB. 23

Drunken driving. A 56-year-old Hopkins woman was arrested for drunken driving after her vehicle was stopped for a driving violation on 11th Avenue. She was on her way to the liquor store.

INDEPENDENCE

FEB. 16

Check welfare. Officers responded to a home on the 5100 block of Fern Drive regarding a 911 hang-up call where a child was heard. The homeowner said kids were playing with an old cellphone and they did not realize it could still call 911.

MAPLE PLAIN

FEB. 22

Theft. A 52-year-old Maple Plain woman was cited for stealing a two candy bars from Olson's Market, 5249 Hwy. 12. She was also ordered to stay out of the store.

FEB. 18

Found. A bag of hypodermic needles was found on Halstead Drive. Officers disposed of them.

MARCH 2

Fire. A possible explosion and fire were reported at a home on Whale Tail Lake. Officers found a large bonfire with several people in attendance. They were advised to extinguish the blaze.

PLYMOUTH

FEB. 16

Underage drinking. One juvenile and six adults under age 21 were cited for underage drinking at a home on the 4800 block of Minnesota Lane N. Officers had gone to the home regarding a report of an ill ­person and found an underage drinking party.

RICHFIELD

MARCH 14

Theft. An elderly woman reported that a well-dressed female carrying a package had scammed her out of $8,000. The unknown female approached her in the Rainbow Foods parking lot at 140 W. 66th St. and claimed she was a courier trying to deliver a package. She said she had a bad address and needed the woman's assistance. She convinced the elderly woman to let her sit in her car and make a phone call to her boss. She then led the woman to a bank where she went in, supposedly to talk to her boss; she came out and said there was a problem with the package — no one would claim it because in addition to a lot of money, it contained child pornography. She convinced the woman that they could split the money — $170,000 — but first they had to raise $12,000 to pay "fees." They drove to several banks and withdrew money from the woman's accounts. At the last bank, the well-dressed female disappeared.

MARCH 15

Theft. A 23-year-old man was arrested for stealing a vehicle on the 7400 block of Lyndale Avenue S.

MARCH 20

Burglary. Someone stole $2,000 and watches valued at $5,000 from a business on the 1200 block of 66th Street E.
