WEEK OF AUG. 20TH

Theft. Golf clubs and other golf equipment were reported stolen from a garage on Koehnen Drive.

Negligent fire. A juvenile male was charged with setting a negligent fire after he started a blaze in a dumpster behind Cost Cutters.

Disturbance. Numerous officers responded to a home for a disturbance where screaming was heard. It turned out a man was screaming after seeing a mouse inside his house. Officers gave him rodent repellent advice.

EDINA

SEPT. 10

Burglary. Televisions, cash, speakers, amplifiers and microphones were stolen from Muzak at 7529 Washington Av. S. There were no signs of forced entry.

Theft. An iPad and an iPod were stolen from Athletic Gym at 7417 Washington Av. S.

SEPT. 11

Drunken driving. A 52-year-old Edina man was arrested for drunken driving after he left the Edina Liquor Store at 6755 York Av. S.

SEPT. 15

Theft. An unlocked bicycle was stolen from Southview Middle School at 4725 Southview Lane.

Found. A moped was found on the 7600 block of Gleason Road.

SEPT. 16

Theft. A wallet was stolen from a woman's purse while she was at the Panera Bread at 3345 Hazelton Road.

HOPKINS

AUG. 20

Suspicious activity. An officer advised occupants of a vehicle on the 700 block of 11th Avenue S. to go inside. They were engaging in inappropriate behavior.

INDEPENDENCE

AUG. 4

Assist animal. A woman reported her donkey was stuck in the mud on Copeland Road. Maple Plain Fire Rescue responded and assisted in digging the donkey out.

AUG. 18

Accident. A 17-year-old boy was cited for failure to drive with due care after he lost control of his vehicle and went into a ditch, striking several pine trees on the 2800 block of Lake Sarah Road. He told the officers he was daydreaming and going too fast.

AUG. 15

Vandalism. A home was toilet-papered on the 12100 block of 93rd Place.

AUG. 16

Theft. Someone broke into a construction trailer on 10100 block of Fernbrook Lane and stole copper wire and tools.

MAPLE PLAIN

AUG. 19

Medical. A 41-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man were taken to the burn unit at Hennepin County Medical Center after hot grease splashed on their legs and feet on the 5300 block of Main Street. The incident occurred when a food vendor poured hot oil into a plastic container. The container melted and the grease sprayed inside and outside the trailer.

PLYMOUTH

AUG. 20

Theft. Two 12-packs of pop were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 3600 block of Trenton Lane N.

RICHFIELD

SEPT. 19

Theft. Dentures were stolen from a resident at The Pines, 400 67th St. W.

SEPT. 20

Weapon. Officers responded to the 7100 block of Cedar Avenue regarding suspicious people. A 20-year-old Richfield man was arrested for possession of stolen property after he was found in possession of a pistol.

Arson. A pile of wood was set on fire in an alley on the 7400 block of Nicollet Av. S. Two neighbors extinguished the fire before any damage was caused.

SEPT. 21

Arson. Two 13-year-old boys started a grass fire in Roosevelt Park, 7644 4th Av. S. The fire spread to trees on a hill.

Theft. A 2011 Kia Sorento was stolen from American Pie at 6529 Nicollet Av. S. The keys had been left in the vehicle. It was recovered a short time later a mile away, and a 23-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for possession of stolen property.
