Theft. A 16-year-old Norwood Young America girl was cited for theft after she was caught shoplifting at Mills Fleet Farm, 1935 Levi Griffin Road.

SEPT. 17

Drugs. An 18-year-old Victoria man was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 800 block of W. 78th Street.

EDINA

SEPT. 12

Theft. Ice cream valued at $40 was stolen from Big Bell Ice Cream in the 7300 block of Gallagher Drive.

SEPT. 16

Burglary. A 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old Edina man were arrested for burglary at Wendy's, 3301 Hazelton Road.

SEPT. 17

Drunken driving. A 35-year-old Edina woman was arrested for drunken driving following a traffic stop in the 400 block of Washington Avenue.

INDEPENDENCE

SEPT. 16

Driving violation. Officers spotted a vehicle going 81 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone on Hwy. 12 at Hitsman Lane, followed it and found the vehicle in a parking lot in Delano. The driver, a 30-year-old Montrose man, told officers he was trying to elude them because he didn't want to have his new girlfriend's car towed. He was cited for speeding, driving after revocation and possession of drug paraphernalia.

SEPT. 21

Accident. A 16-year-old Independence boy was cited for driving without a valid driver's license and failure to drive with due care after his vehicle went into a ditch on County Road 6 after midnight. He told officers he was reaching for his iPad and lost control of the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital.

MAPLE GROVE

SEPT. 7

Drugs. A 20-year-old Otsego man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance after he was stopped for expired tabs at Fish Lake Road and Interstate 494.

Weapon. A 27-year-old man from the 1300 block of Maplewood Drive was taken to the hospital after shooting himself while attempting to disassemble a weapon for cleaning.

PLYMOUTH

SEPT. 8

Drugs. A 50-year-old Minnetonka man was cited for possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at County Road 6 and Niagara Lane.

SEPT. 11

Weapon. A 27-year-old Plymouth man was arrested for a weapons violation after a handgun was found in his vehicle following a traffic stop at 36th Avenue and Lancaster Lane.

Theft. A wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 13400 block of 60th Place.

SEPT. 17

Drugs. A 16-year-old girl was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 16000 block of 19th Avenue.

Alcohol violation. Three men and a woman were cited for having open containers of alcohol in public in the 100 block of Olive Street S.

Driving violation. A 16-year-old Waconia boy was cited for a school bus arm violation at Waconia Parkway N. and Lakeridge Way.

Driving violation. An 18-year-old Watertown man was cited for exhibition driving following a traffic stop at Westminster Avenue SW. and Madison Street.
