Theft. Tires were stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Oak Street N.

OCT. 8

Burglary. Tools were stolen from a home under construction in the 1600 block of Jeurissen Lane.

EDINA

OCT. 4

Weapon. A 17-year-old boy was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon, and a 15-year-old boy was arrested for disorderly conduct, in the 4700 block of Southview Lane.

INDEPENDENCE

OCT. 6

Animal complaint. A woman reported that coyotes were coming into her backyard and up to her house in the 4800 block of Perkinsville Road. She was given a copy of the city's hunting ordinance and safety rules for hunting near other homes.

Animal complaint. A resident in the 1000 block of Polo Club Road reported that a dead squirrel was in his mailbox and that another had been on top of the mailbox the previous day. He said that he did not know who would have put them there.

Found property. A cordless phone was found at Pagenkopf Road and Lake Sarah Road, and an officer located the owner in the 2700 block of Valley Road. It was determined that her husband had left the phone sitting on the back of the car and that she had driven off without knowing it was there.

Weapon. Officers responded to a report of two boys shooting pellet guns at a truck at Fern Drive and Sunset Lane. They located a 13-year-old Independence boy and a 16-year-old Loretto boy who admitted to shooting at the truck. Charges were pending.

MAPLE PLAIN

OCT. 5

Drugs. Officers responded to a report of two men who appeared to be passed out in a vehicle behind the Maple Plain Family Center. They located the men, who were sleeping, and found nearly a pound of marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. The two men, ages 21 and 27 and both from Willmar, Minn., were arrested for drug possession.

PLYMOUTH

OCT. 11

Property damage. A 56-year-old New Hope woman was arrested for property damage after hitting several mailboxes with a vehicle in the 300 block of Balsam Lane.

RICHFIELD

OCT. 5

Drugs. A 20-year-old Minneapolis man was cited for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle after he was stopped for driving without headlights at 77th Street E. and Nicollet Avenue S.

Drugs. An 18-year-old Richfield man was cited for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle after he was stopped for speeding at 66th Street E. and Chicago Avenue S.

Drugs. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at 69th Street E. and Clinton Avenue S. A 24-year-old Richfield man was cited for possession of marijuana.

OCT. 8

Assault. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 6700 block of 1st Avenue S. An 18-year-old Richfield man was arrested for assault and possession of a controlled substance.

SHOREWOOD

OCT. 1

Burglary. Officers responded to a report of a forced entry at a business in the 22900 block of Highway 7. They arrested a 13-year-old Shorewood boy and two boys from Deephaven, ages 13 and 14. Damage had been done inside the business. The case was under investigation.
