Burglary. Wallets, cash and car keys were stolen from a home and garage in the 11000 block of Burr Ridge Lane. Entry may have been gained through an unlocked door.

JULY 19

Theft. A 2008 Toyota Sienna was stolen from a driveway in the 8000 block of Cypress Lane.

Edina

JULY 19

Drugs. A 41-year-old Richfield man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and driving after suspension following a traffic stop in the 8200 block of Normandale Boulevard.

JULY 22

Drugs. A 23-year-old Edina man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 7200 block of France Avenue.

EXCELSIOR

JULY 14

Drugs. A 20-year-old Minnetonka man was cited for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a fake ID and fireworks after officers found a vehicle facing the wrong direction on a one-way street at Second Avenue and Mill Street.

INDEPENDENCE

JULY 9

Suspicious activity. An officer observed a parked vehicle with both driver and passenger seats reclined in the 1800 block of Highstead Drive. A Minnetrista boy and Delano girl, both 17, told the officer they were just hanging out. The officer told them they were out past curfew and to go home.

JULY 12

Animal complaint. A resident in the 3000 block of Lake Haughey Road reported that the neighbor's dog had killed two chickens and that two other chickens were missing. The dog's owner offered to pay for the chickens.

JULY 18

Dispute. Officers mediated a dispute between a brother and sister in the 7000 block of County Road 6. The sister was moving in and had left items all over the place.

MAPLE PLAIN

JULY 20

Traffic complaint. Someone reported vehicles stopping on the trail between Pioneer Creek Drive and Halgren Road because a Pokémon character was nearby. The Public Works Department responded by posting a sign there prohibiting motorized vehicles.

PLYMOUTH

JULY 15

Theft. A bottle of lotion valued at $125 was stolen from a home in the 12000 block of 41st Avenue.

JULY 17

Theft. A 2006 Ford Taurus and keys were stolen from the 1900 block of W. Medicine Lake Drive. The victim was swimming and the keys were wrapped in a towel at the beach. The vehicle was recovered Aug. 1 in another city.

JULY 20

Theft. Golf clubs valued at $1,000 were stolen from a garage in the 16900 block of 39th Avenue N. The garage door had been left open overnight.

Theft. Golf clubs valued at $1,000 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 16700 block of 40th Avenue N.

SHOREWOOD

JULY 20

Suspicious activity. Officers responded to a report of two people picking weeds from a neighbor's yard near Glencoe Road and Yellowstone Trail. They located a female and male with a yellow parakeet on his shoulders, and advised them not to remove items from people's yards.
