ST. LOUIS PARK

'Blood on the Tracks' Concert SaturdayThe St. Louis Park Summer Concert Series will present the 10th anniversary "Blood On The Tracks Live" celebration at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater in Wolfe Park, 3700 Monterey Av.

The free event will feature a "parade of hits" from local musicians who played on Bob Dylan's 1975 "Blood on the Tracks" album. This is the group's second year performing at Wolfe Park, and this time it will emphasize music from Dylan's "Blonde on Blonde" album.

Dylan recorded "Blood on the Tracks" in New York and then re-recorded five tracks in Minneapolis using local musicians. The Minneapolis musicians reunited for performances beginning with Dylan's 60th birthday celebration at First Avenue in 2000.

Scheduled to appear Saturday are original musicians Billy Peterson, Peter Ostroushko and Kevin Odegard, along with a score of other artists.

Concert-goers are encouraged to bring any old, unused or even unplayable guitars to donate to Guitars for Vets, which offers free guitars, lessons, art and music therapy to military veterans.

In the event of bad weather, call 952-924-2567 for concert information. And for more on past "Blood On The Tracks Live" events, go to www.youtube.com/user /kevinodegard .
