Saks Off 5th in Gaviidae downtown Minneapolis has a BOGO (buy 1, get 1 free) offer on men's suits from 6 p.m. Friday Nov. 13 to noon Saturday, Nov. 14. Saks outlet has an excellent selection of men's suits. The best deals are suits that still have the original Saks 5th Avenue tag showing the markdowns. It's often a hangtag under the lapel. The fair deals are special purchase suits made specifically for the outlet with price tags that say "compare at." For example, a suit marked $300 might say "Compare at $500" on the price tag.

Restaurant.com has extended its 80 percent off sale through Monday. Use the discount code ENTREE for the additional discount.

The best store in the Twin Cities for men's accessories, Martin Patrick, has 20 percent off storewide Friday through Sunday at its warehouse district store in Minneapolis. It's for the guy who reads GQ, Cigar Afficiando, or Wine Spectator. Skip it if you or your guy lives in sweatpants, doesn't own a suit, and loves "Married with Children" reruns. Nothing wrong with that....just saying that guy probably won't like anything at MP.

The turkey wars continue to rage. Wal-Mart tossed the first drumstick with turkeys at 40 cents a pound. That offer expires Saturday, I think, but it's already been extended once. Then Cub counter-fired with a locally-grown 39 cents per pound Jennio-O. Cub's offer is good until the day before Thanksgiving. Thursday, Rainbow joined the food fight by selling Jennie-O's for 37 cents per pound with a coupon. If you missed Thursday's paper, ask for a coupon at the Customer Services desk. Both Cub and Rainbow and Wal-Mart insist they won't be undersold, so take Rainbow's ad anywhere for a price match. (But don't take Rainbow's coupon to SuperTarget. Target won't match store coupons.)BTW, all of these turkeys are "loss leaders." Stores are losing money on the turkey to get you in the door, hoping you'll buy other stuff. The Department of Agriculture is predicting that wholesale prices will be about 81 to 85 cents per pound this year.
