HARVEST MOON FESTIVAL

Hands-on activities acquaint youths with lifestyles of the early 1900s, with two events in one. By day, children can visit activity stations, including picking corn, dipping candles and other chores led by costumed interpreters. Once the sun goes down, guests can go on the not-too-spooky haunted walk and ride. (10 a.m.-8 p.m. today-Sat. $3-$5. Dakota City Heritage Village, 4008 W. 220th St., Farmington. 651-460-8050. www.dakotacity.org.)
