AQUATENNIAL

Minneapolis' annual festival has no shortage of events near water and on dry land. Check out the Twin Cities River Rats' "Star Wars"-themed water skiing show. Agile-footed competitors attempt to stay out of Lake Calhoun at the Key Log Rolling Invitational. Architectural wonder boats fashioned out of milk cartons will attempt to set sail on Calhoun during the Beach Bash. (Various times and locations today-Sun. VINTAGE VEHICLE AND BBQ DAY

Exhibits about the early days of Gladstone, the community that pre-dates Maplewood, will be on view. Also cars, trucks and fire engines from before 1941. Take a guided tour of the farmhouse and barn.
