Webster to miss opening day?

Wolves shooting guard has MRI and is waiting for second opinion

October 21, 2010 at 9:29PM

Greetings.

Kent Youngblood here. Wolves coach Kurt Rambis said after practice today that guard Martell Webster has had an MRI on his sore lower back. The team is waiting for a second opinion on the results of that test to determine a treatment schedule. Webster will miss Friday's preseason finale in Milwaukee and Rambis said it's possible Webster could miss the regular season opener against Sacramento next week.

Webster missed Tuesday's game against Indiana with what were described as muscle spasms. Is it more than that? Weber has said he initially hurt the back while being undercut during a playoff game against Phoenix when he was playing for Portland last season.

Meanwhile, center Darko Milicic, who missed Tuesday's game with a sore neck and shoulder, practiced Thursday and will travel with the team to Milwaukee.

That's about it. Have a good day.
