North Dakota needed something - anything - to help turn the momentum in its favor during Friday's NCAA hockey opening-round game with Boston University in Fargo.
Enter Mike Gornall with a glass-shattering hit on BU's Kieffer Bellows, the Edina native and son of former North Stars player Brian Bellows.
The hit came with 10:44 left in the game, and the Fighting Hawks down 3-1. Following the delay to replace the glass, UND rallied to force overtime.
BU got the last laugh however, winning in double-overtime.
