Noise complaint. A barking dog was reported in the 600 block of Wildwood Avenue. The complainant said the dog had been barking for 30 minutes and it was an ongoing issue.

GRANT

APRIL 22

Animal concern. Someone on their way to work reported seeing a badger in the area of 75th Street and Leeward Avenue.

APRIL 25

Suspicious activity. Two people were reported parked in vehicles on Joliet Avenue near 107th Street. A deputy determined the two were looking for agates and informed the complainant when he called the next day to report they'd returned to the area.

LANDFALL

APRIL 23

Suspicious situation. A home with its lights off and door open was reported in the 10 block of Ivy Lane. The empty home, a former meth house that had been recently raided, was a health hazard. Authorities were able to secure the building.

MAHTOMEDI

APRIL 24

Suspicious activity. A deputy pulled over a vehicle with multiple cracks in its windshield in the area of Warner Avenue and Stewart Avenue. The driver would not tell the deputy where he was coming from or where was headed. When the deputy asked the driver about the spare sink parts in his back seat, the driver said he was a scrapper and did not obtain them illegally. He did agree they looked suspicious in his car. He told the deputy Stillwater police had already given him a citation for equipment violations on his vehicle.

APRIL 26

Neighbor dispute. A resident in the 200 block of Juniper Street reported that a neighbor was using their electricity. A deputy followed an extension cord plugged into the complainant's outdoor outlet 100 feet to a broken window on the neighbor's home. There were three cords attached to the extension cord at the neighbor's home. When contacted the neighbor said he didn't want to wake the complainant. He was cited for theft.

MAY TOWNSHIP

APRIL 26

Animal concern. A loose buffalo was reported on the side of the road in the 14000 block of Ostrum Trail. The caller thought the animal was trying to return to the herd on the other side of an electronic fence. The buffalo was gone by the time a deputy arrived.

PINE SPRINGS

APRIL 26

Unusual situation. A bar of rat or mouse poison was found in the front yard of a home in the 5000 block of Henna Court. The complainant had no idea how or why it was there.

WOODBURY

APRIL 21

Suspicious activity. Police were unable to locate a man in a dark hoodie who was reported removing a manhole cover in the 7400 block of Currell Boulevard.

APRIL 24

Suspicious activity/Damage to property. Someone threw a rock and shattered a glass storm door in the 2100 block of Woodbridge Way.

APRIL 25

Suspicious activity. A group of juveniles carrying what appeared to be fake guns and chasing each other in vehicles were reported in the Pioneer Park parking lot, 2670 Wimbledon Drive. It was determined the juveniles, who were gone by the time police arrived, were having a nerf gun war.

APRIL 26

Advertising complaint. An officer checking on a report of a mattress store sign tied to a post at the intersection of Hudson Road and Woodbury Drive located a woman singing and dancing at the corner holding a mattress store sign. She was not in violation of any city ordinances.
