MARCH 15

Suspicious activity. Three vehicles traveling close together were reported in the area of Afton Hills Drive near City Hall. The complainant was concerned the occupants were going to vandalize his friend's home. A deputy checked the area and found nothing suspicious.

GRANT

MARCH 14

Suspicious activity. A deputy checked on a report that the lights in the Lakes Area Bank, 14602 Everton Av., were off, which struck the complainant as unusual. The deputy found the building to be secure despite the lights being off inside.

MAHTOMEDI

MARCH 14

Suspicious activity. Someone in the 100 block of Greenwood Street reported a woman in a red pickup pulled up to their home asking for someone named Conrad and swearing at them. A deputy pulled the woman over after she failed to signal a turn. She said she was looking for her husband. She was cited for driving after her license had been revoked and warned about not signaling her turn.

OAKDALE

MARCH 9

Suspicious person. While on patrol an officer observed a man walking down the middle of the street in the 6200 block of 40th Street at 12:30 a.m. dressed in a T-shirt and pajama bottoms. The man said he was just out for a walk.

MARCH 10

Road hazard. Someone called police concerned about the safety of a group of juveniles playing hockey in the street in the 2300 block of Hamlet Avenue. An officer located the juveniles playing in the street and advised an adult supervising the group about the complaint.

MARCH 11

Neighbor dispute. Police received a complaint of people grilling food too close to an apartment building in the 4100 block of Geneva Avenue and propping open the security door. An officer located someone grilling at a safe distance from the building. They denied propping open the door.

MARCH 13

Disturbance. Three juveniles were reported on the roof of a home in the 2500 block of Hilo Avenue using inappropriate language and mooning passersby. An officer spoke to the three who admitted the activities and apologized for joking around. The officer discussed how their activity could be perceived by others as well as potential consequences.

MARCH 14

Theft. A woman leaving a business in the 8300 block of 3rd Street found a man in her vehicle taking property. When she yelled at him he returned everything he had taken and drove off in a red Chevrolet Cavalier.

SCANDIA

MARCH 14

Shooting complaint. A deputy checked on a report of someone shooting guns in the front yard of a home in the 23000 block of Quentin Avenue. The deputy located a family shooting at targets in their back yard. They were cooperative and explained they'd be done soon.

Suspicious situation. A woman notified authorities after she called her parents in the 18000 block of Margo Avenue and found several people there who said their car was stuck in the mud nearby. A deputy determined their car was indeed stuck and that a relative was on the way to pick them up.

WOODBURY

MARCH 12

Suspicious activity. A homeowner on Woodbridge Way told police someone rang their doorbell at 12:30 the night before but they didn't answer it. In the morning they found an orange traffic cone on their porch.

Suspicious situation/Extra patrol. A man reportedly got out of his car and asked a group of juvenile girls at a bus stop in the area of Lake View Drive for directions. One of the girls thought the man had something like a pocket knife in his hands. All the girls ran home and did not take the bus.
