Slumper. Authorities made contact with a man asleep in his vehicle at the Holiday Stationstore, 12370 Point Douglas Dr. The man explained he regularly drives from Northfield to Hammond, Wis., and pulled over to sleep because he was tired.

Uncontained horses. Two horses were reported loose in the front yard of a home in the 11000 block of Jasmine Trail. The owner was located and advised to take measures to contain the animals or face citation.

Mischief. Several juveniles were reported running around in the 15000 block of Fanning Drive at 4 a.m. One reportedly attempted to open the front door of a residence. A deputy was unable to locate the juveniles.

Theft. A heater was stolen from an icehouse on White Bear Lake.

JAN. 4

Suspicious activity. Pizzas delivered at two different times to an address in the 3800 block of Hallmark Avenue were rejected as not ordered and unwanted. Police were unable to contact anyone at the two phone numbers the pizzas were ordered from.

JAN. 5

Harassing telephone communication. A woman who had ended a relationship with a man she had recently met told police he had not stopped trying to contact her. Upon her request, an officer left a detailed message advising the man to stop contacting the woman. The man called the officer back and agreed to cease further contact.

Traffic violation. A driver was given a written warning after failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Scandia Trail and Olinda Trail.

JAN. 11

Equipment violation. A driver in the area of Saint Croix Trail and Nelson Street, aware the brake lights of his vehicle were not working and the front license plate was missing, was stopped and given warnings for both infractions.

Driving complaint. A woman was given a citation for driving after revocation when she admitted the truck she was driving accidentally slid into the front yard of a residence in the 400 block of Stewart Road.

WOODBURY

JAN. 4

Suspicious situation. An officer helped close and secure a drawer that was stuck open at the drive-through lane of the Ideal Credit Union, 8499 Tamarack Road.

JAN. 6

Suspicious situation. Someone in the 1300 block of Saddlebrook Lane reported witnessing firewood being taken from their neighbor's yard. The neighbor confirmed that someone was supposed to be there taking wood.

JAN. 7

Suspicious occurrence. A resident in the 1400 block of Cedarwood Drive reported seeing people with flashlights and a dog walking through her and her neighbor's yards at 5:20 a.m. She was advised the people were most likely police officers tracking a suspect from a nearby burglary that had just occurred.

JAN. 10

Snowmobile complaint. A child riding on a snowmobile without a helmet was reported in Seasons Park, 1233 Silverwood Road. When contacted by an officer, the driver was very apologetic and explained he took the child out to combat cabin fever.
