Suspicious situation. A resident in the 11000 block of 122nd Street Court told authorities that someone rang the doorbell the previous night and then drove off. The resident was informed that Washington County deputies were responding to a 911 open line.

SEPT. 8

Suspicious activity. Someone in the 11000 block of Lansing Avenue reported an SUV pulling up to their gate and then leaving and doing the same at their neighbor's residence. A deputy located the vehicle and determined the occupant was assessing properties for the city of Grant.

SEPT. 12

Suspicious activity/Found property. Pill bottles were found in the 11000 block of 60th Street hanging from a tree and wrapped in camouflage paper, initialed and dated. It was determined they were part of a geocache.

Suspicious activity. A man reported drinking in a vehicle in the 13000 block of Europa Court was arrested for DWI. A deputy running a check on him found his license was revoked as well.

Suspicious activity. A deputy responded to a call about a house in the 5000 block of 147th Street that smelled like marijuana. The issue has been ongoing. The deputy was unable to smell marijuana at the home.

SEPT. 12

Suspicious activity. A caller reported a group of males hanging out in a parking lot in the 300 block of Saint Croix Trail and expressed concern that they might be breaking into cars. A deputy who was familiar with the group asked them to go home and they did.

Theft report. A wheelbarrow initially thought to have been taken from someone in the 300 block of Arcwood Road turned out to be borrowed by a neighbor.

Patron complaint. A man was removed from the Wildwood Library, 763 Stillwater Road, after making unwanted advances toward another person in the library.

SEPT. 10

Animal concern. Two horses were reported eating grass in the front yard of a home in the 20000 block of Odell Avenue. The horse's owner had collected the animals by the time a deputy arrived. The complainant said the horses chased him into his house and the deputy did see hoof prints on the porch. The deputy spoke to the owner of the horses and suggested it would be a good idea for him to talk to the complainant. He agreed to do so.

Homeless person. A deputy checked on a report of a man living in a truck on property in the 400 block of Dartmoor Lane. The man had permission from the landowner to be there but the city was notified because his living arrangement was in violation of the basic facilities ordinance.

Suspicious activity. A man on a bike with an attached trailer carrying covered items was reported riding around early in the morning in the 300 block of Warner Avenue. The complainant was concerned he might be stealing something.

School bus stop arm violation. A driver in the area of Tower Court and Tower Drive was cited for driving through an activated school bus stop arm.

SEPT. 12

Neighbor complaint. A homeowner requested an officer document their belief that someone moved their property line stake.
