Suspicious activity. A deputy observed a vehicle pull into several driveways and park in the 17000 block of Foxhill Avenue. The vehicle moved from one driveway to another after a resident came out to bring out the trash. The driver was contacted and explained she was on the phone. She apologized when it was pointed out how suspicious her moves might look.

APRIL 5

Animal concern. Someone near 122nd Street and July Avenue called authorities to let them know they were setting a live trap to catch a loose pit bull.

APRIL 7

Privacy question. A resident in the 1000 block of Echo Lake Court whose neighbor has a mini-helicopter with camera called to find out if there were any laws regarding them.

Neighbor issue. A man in the 10 block of 5th Avenue told a deputy his neighbor had been bothering him for two years. The deputy contacted the neighbor who had the same story, that the complainant had been harassing him for two years. No assaults or threats were reported by either party. They were advised to ignore each other and not have any contact.

APRIL 1

Suspicious package. Five pounds of marijuana was discovered in a package with an incomplete delivery address at FedEx, 7 Long Lake Road

APRIL 2

Suspicious situation. A man in a rental truck unloaded a television in the road in the area of Hyde Avenue and 71st Street.

APRIL 5

Mail tampering. A resident in the 1000 block of Griffin Avenue reported their mailbox was opened and letters were on the ground.

OAKDALE

MARCH 31

Neighbor dispute. A resident in the 500 block of Gentry Avenue told police his neighbors are harassing him and put a sign in their window facing his house that says "stop harassing our family." An officer contacted one of the neighbors who said the complainant is constantly harassing them by shining a red laser into their windows. The neighbor agreed to take the sign down if the complainant, who denied shining the laser, will cease his behavior.

Special checks. A man reported consistently finding empty half-pint bottles of Black Velvet for the past three years on the west side of Gershwin Avenue between 45th and 47th Streets. He didn't know where the bottles were coming from and requested a special patrol for the area.

Animal complaint. Police received a report from someone in the 1100 block of Greystone Avenue complaining about a herd of deer that keep going through back yards in the area. She was advised to consult a private pest control company.

STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

APRIL 2

Animal concern. Authorities received a call from an employee of a business in the 11000 block of Myeron Road worried about what appeared to be a stray cat in the cold. The employee was advised to call animal control.

WOODBURY

APRIL 3

Truck stuck in mud. Police responded to a report of a truck stuck in mud and revving its engine in the 3500 block of Bailey Ridge Alcove. The truck's owner told police he wanted to go off-roading and got stuck on the public works road. He was advised access roads are intended for public works only and he could be charged with damage to property if he decided to off-road on city property in the future. AAA came and pulled the truck from the mud.
