Dumping complaint. A Cub Foods grocery cart was reported on the shoulder of Fenway Boulevard near 130th Street. Public Works was advised.

Suspicious package. A resident in the 1000 block of Quentin Avenue received a package addressed to her maiden name that contained two vials of a white/yellow substance. It was found to be essential oils for aromatherapy.

OAKDALE

DEC. 23

Disturbance. An officer was sent to the Dollar Tree, 7085 10th St., on a report of two employees yelling at each other, first in the store and then outside. One of the two left before the officer arrived. An assistant manager said she would handle the issue with the store's manager and requested no further assistance.

DEC. 25

Theft. Police received numerous reports of mail taken from mailboxes of residences on Grospoint Avenue. Several pieces of mail were opened and lying in the street.

Suspicious noise. A baby sitter fearing an intruder called police after hearing a piano playing in the lower level of a home in the 6000 block of 15th Street Court. An officer checked the residence and found no one else was there and no signs of forced entry. The family's cat was found downstairs and it is possible it walked across the piano keys.

DEC. 29

Check welfare. An officer was dispatched to the 4800 block of Hadley Avenue on a report of a man dressed in black and yelling. The officer discovered the man was looking for his dog.

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 22000 block of Kirk Court reported a pile of snow plowed 15 feet into his driveway without explanation.

STILLWATER TOWNSHIP

DEC. 23

Animal concern. A deputy checked on a report of horses not having hay in the area of Otchipwe Avenue and Stonebridge Trail. The owner of the horses was contacted and explained that he had just run out of hay and was on his way to get more.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

DEC. 22

Juvenile mischief. The owner of a home in the 13000 block of 22nd Street caught several juveniles who had left garbage and road cones in his yard along with toilet paper in his trees at 2 a.m. The juveniles said it was all part of a school prank and agreed to clean up the yard later in the morning.

WOODBURY

DEC. 24

Suspicious activity. An officer stopped a motorist who was reported driving slowly on Springwood Drive. The driver told the officer he was looking for an address on Springwood Court in Eagan. He was not aware he was in Woodbury and was given directions to Eagan.

DEC. 28

Suspicious activity. A man was reported doing something with the windshield wiper fluid outside the Holiday Stationstore, 757 Radio Dr., and then walking into the closed business just after 3 a.m. Police contacted the man, who was an employee who had arrived early and was taking care of tasks before opening the business.

DEC. 29

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 2800 block of Castleford Court called police because she believed her neighbor was tampering with her electricity because her exterior lights were not working. An officer discovered the lights only needed to be fully installed into the light fixture. No further action was taken.
