Suspicious activity. A van was reported driving slowly in the area of 50th Street and Trading Post Trail. Its occupants were delivering phone books. One occupant had a warrant in Hennepin County and was taken into custody. The other was advised to let the Sheriff's Office know when they are distributing phone books.

Shooting complaint. A resident in the 14000 block of 34th Street found lead from a bullet that had come through a window screen of his home. His neighbor said there were two men hunting with permission on his property earlier in the day.

Hunter assist. A deputy helped a duck hunter on Lake Oneda whose kayak had sprung a leak.

Suspicious activity. Two men in a truck with City of Hugo on the side were reported looking through binoculars at Oneka Elementary School. The two were part of a speed detail working in the area.

Suspicious activity. A deputy checked on a report of an open door at a foreclosed property in the 200 block of Frankland Street. There were pry marks on the strike plate, but they didn't appear to be recent. All the copper in the home was intact.

Suspicious package. A package with a suspicious odor was reported at the FedEx building, 7 Long Lake Road The package was determined to contain marijuana and taken by a deputy.

NOV. 23

Criminal damage to property. Police received multiple reports of light bulbs smashed overnight in the area of 52nd Street and Heath Avenue.

NOV. 24

Burglary. An officer responded to a report of a burglary with the suspect sleeping inside a vehicle in the 6900 block of 14th Street. The suspect was found in the driver's seat of a van inside the garage and taken into custody. He was intoxicated and didn't remember how he got into the van.

Burglary. Someone took a file cabinet from Espresso Donut Company, 1055 Helmo Av, after smashing their way through the front glass door.

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 19000 block of Parkview Avenue called the Sheriff's Office about two men in a vehicle in their driveway. The men explained they were in the area to repossess a vehicle and were having difficulty with their GPS.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

NOV. 24

Complaint. Garbage and debris were reported coming from a trailer attached to a truck occupied by two juvenile males in the area of Norcrest Avenue and 30th Street. A deputy removed from the road a microwave, a mattress, drapes and carpet squares.

WOODBURY

NOV. 21

Traffic violation. A driver in the area of Central Park Place and Radio Drive was warned for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Suspicious activity. Police received a report of three males in a white van near Valley Creek Road and Manning Avenue. The complainant thought a passengers was holding a garage door opener out the window. Police were unable to locate the van.
