Cracked windshield. A driver in the area of 40th Street and Manning Avenue was given a written warning for having a crack across most of the car's windshield.

Deer baiting. A deputy following up on a report of deer baiting in the Lake Elmo Park Reserve, 1515 Keats Av., located several piles of food in the area. The DNR was advised of the findings.

Animal concern. An owl that had been injured by a vehicle in the area of St. Croix Trail and 12th Street was taken by a deputy to the Raptor Center.

Neighbor dispute. A resident in the 10 block of Forest Heights reported her neighbor threatened her son for damaging things on her property. A deputy contacted the neighbor who said she was sick of the complainant's son and confirmed he had damaged her property but couldn't remember what.

Chickens at large. Two chickens were reported walking down the road in the 400 block of Wedgewood Drive.

NOV. 1

Suspicious activity. A five-foot-deep hole was discovered in a woody area near the 1400 block of Granada Avenue. The hole, which was covered by a sheet of plywood, contained two shovels, a shopping cart and pruning shears.

Suspicious activity. An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Glenbrook Avenue on a report of two juveniles walking around, one with a hatchet, the other on a skateboard. The juveniles were gone by the time the officer arrived.

Neighbor dispute. A resident in the 5400 block of Golfview Avenue complained that a neighbor had bent down a chicken wire fence on the property line. An officer contacted the neighbor, who said the fence was ugly but agreed to straighten it back up.

Criminal damage to property. A pumpkin was reported thrown through the basement window of a home in the 2300 block of Hallmark Avenue.

Littering. An officer investigating a littering complaint in the 6800 block of 5th Street noticed some sunflower seeds outside a vehicle in the street. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and agreed to clean up the sunflower seeds.

Suspicious activity. Loud, booming noises, perhaps firecrackers, were reported coming from a home in the 10000 block of 191st Street. A deputy parked in the area and listened for a while but heard nothing.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

Theft report. A golf bag full of clubs and miscellaneous golf equipment, along with a wallet, was reported stolen from the bag drop at StoneRidge Golf Club, 13600 Hudson Blvd.

OCT. 29

Neighbor complaint. An officer issued a verbal warning to a resident in the 3000 block of Copper Oaks Trail for blowing leaves from his yard onto the street.

OCT. 31

Animal concern. Police got a report of a missing llama in the 5600 block of Deer Trail. The animal was returned to its owner as police were responding.
