Dumping complaint. A large projection television was dumped in a ditch in the 6500 block of Oakgreen Avenue.


FEB. 1

Drug activity. Police took as information a report that employees of a business in the 10000 block of 60th Street were smoking marijuana on their breaks.


FEB. 4

Juvenile complaint. Two juveniles, one on a snowmobile and one on an ATV, were reported chasing deer in the area of 26th Street and Inwood Avenue. Police contacted the juveniles, who admitted seeing a deer and trying to get closer to it. But they denied chasing it.


JAN. 30

Suspicious activity. The contents of a vehicle in the 400 block of Arcwood Road had been moved around and rifled through. Nothing was taken from the vehicle, which was parked in a driveway and unlocked.


FEB. 2

Trespassing complaint. Police spoke to a cross-country skier on property in the 14000 block of Ostlund Trail. He told them he didn't know he was trespassing. There were signs posted, but none where he had parked his vehicle.

FEB. 4

Fraudulent activity. A man in the 15000 block of St. Croix Trail reported someone had placed two ads on Craigslist in his name. One stated he needed his home sided; the other listed him as having a free television to give away.


JAN. 28

Assist public. An officer freed a 13-month-old child locked in a bathroom in the 4600 block of Olson Lake Trail by using a coat hanger. The child was unharmed.

JAN. 29

U-turn. A woman attempted a U-turn in reverse in the 6800 block of 8th Street Lane and accidentally hit the gas. The vehicle jumped the snowbank, traveled about 30 feet and hit two mailboxes. She was cited for making an unsafe U-turn.

FEB. 1

Parking violation. A resident in the 2500 block of Hamlet Avenue complained about an ongoing problem of vehicles parking in front of his mailbox, causing the mailman to not deliver his mail. The complainant said a vehicle just left from the spot. He was advised to call anytime there is a vehicle parked in front of his mailbox.

FEB. 2

Burglary/theft. Police were shown a surveillance tape of two men stealing coins from laundry machines in an apartment building in the 900 block of Greenway Avenue.


FEB. 1

Shoplifting. About $2,000 worth of designer jeans were stolen from Collaborations Boutique, 129 ½ S. Main St.

FEB. 4

Animal complaint. Someone reported a chicken running on the sidewalk in the 800 block of 4th Street. The bird was gone by the time an animal control officer arrived.


JAN. 28

Fraud report. Police received a report of identity theft from someone in the 9000 block of Stonebridge Trail. The complainant told police her Social Security number was accessed online and several credit card accounts had been opened in her name.

FEB. 3

Mail theft. Mail from several addresses in another neighborhood was found on the street in the 8000 block of Neal Avenue.
