Stolen motor vehicle. A 2002 Dodge Dakota stolen from Valley Pontiac Buick GMC Inc., 12257 Point Douglas Dr., was recovered in the 12000 block of Margo Avenue.

OAKDALE

DEC. 21

Theft. Two packages from UPS were stolen from the front steps of a home in the 6100 block of Upper 48th Street.

DEC. 22

Home accident/fall. An officer was dispatched to a residence in the 1700 block of Granada Avenue to assist a 77-year-old woman who had fallen. The officer couldn't get into the locked residence. The woman's daughter was supposed to have the key but didn't. Entry was made through an open window. The uninjured woman was helped to her feet.

Found property. While on patrol an officer came across street signs for the intersection of Granada Avenue and Granada Way in a snowbank. They were taken to Public Works for reinstallation.

SCANDIA

Burning complaint. Police checked on a report of someone burning what smelled like plastic in the 15000 block of Pilar Road. They found the fire but no plastic was being burned, only wood.

DEC. 26

Possession of marijuana/Texting and driving. An officer observed a vehicle in a turn lane in the area of Olinda Trail and Scandia Trail that did not turn when it had the right of way. The officer stopped the vehicle as it was clear the driver was texting, and noticed an odor of marijuana. The driver turned over a bag of marijuana. He was given a citation for possession of marijuana as well as texting while driving.

STILLWATER

Lurking with intent. A man reported observing individuals in a vehicle open his mailbox and his neighbor's in the 1400 block of Amundson Lane. The man then followed the vehicle until police intercepted it. The three occupants of the vehicle denied opening any mailboxes and claimed they were lost. They were issued citations for lurking with intent.

2nd-degree burglary/Damage to property. Police caught a man in the act of burglarizing Bronze Boutique, 229 Main St. The man, a former employee at the business, had broken a window to gain entry. He was arrested trying to flee the building with about $200 in his hand.

Driving after suspension/No proof of insurance/Failure to display current registration. While on patrol in the area of Dellwood Road and Stonebridge Trail, officers noticed a vehicle with September 2012 license tabs. After running a check on the plate they discovered the driver's license had been suspended. He was given citations for that and the out-of-date tabs as well as failure to provide current registration.

DEC. 26

Suspicious activity. A woman in the 14000 block of 107th Street contacted police after her new driver's license arrived in an envelope that appeared to have been opened and was stapled shut. She was issued a new license.

WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP

DEC. 22

Theft of firearms. Two guns were reported missing after the son of homeowners in the 1000 block of Norcrest Avenue threw a party while his parents were out of town.

WOODBURY

DEC. 25

Wolf sighting. Two wolves were reported running near the 4th hole of the Prestwick Golf Club, 9555 Wedgewood. Police checked the area but were unable to find the animals who they believed were coyotes because it's currently coyote mating season.
