Theft report. Two saws, a set of wrenches and a ladder were stolen from a garage in the 12000 block of 30th Street.

Texting while driving. Police noticed a driver looking down and not moving at the intersection of 50th Street and Stagecoach Trail after the light had changed. The driver admitted to an officer she was texting but that she was stopped. She was cited for texting while driving and for expired license tabs. She was also warned for not having her driver's license in her possession.

BAYTOWN TOWNSHIP

SEPT. 21

Extra patrol request. Someone in the 4000 block of Normandale Avenue, concerned about vandalism in the neighborhood, requested an extra police patrol for the area because it was Stillwater High School's homecoming.

DENMARK TOWNSHIP

SEPT. 22

Vehicle lockout. An officer assisted a driver who was locked out of a vehicle at McDougall's Apple Junction, 14325 110th St.

Seat belt violation. An officer observed the driver of a vehicle pass by not wearing his seat belt. The driver was stopped and cited for the violation as well as for not having proof of insurance. He was given a verbal warning for not having his driver's license with him.

SEPT. 25

Suspicious activity. A man was reportedly taking video and photos of a residence in the 15000 block of Farnham Avenue. The residence is a daycare and the man drove off when approached by the complainant.

LAKE ELMO

SEPT. 23

Theft report. Three baskets of golf balls were taken overnight from the Country Air Golf Park, 404 Lake Elmo Drive.

Neighbor nuisance. Police received a report of people parking on neighbor's grass while attending a garage sale in the 100 block of Dahlia Street. Police advised the people running the garage sale of the complaint.

MAY TOWNSHIP

SEPT. 23

Loose cows. Police observed 12 cows on Paul Avenue south of Nason Hill Road. The owner was contacted and the cows were returned home.

OAKDALE

SEPT. 28

Disturbance. Police responded to a complaint of an air horn starting at 7 a.m. An officer made contact with a large group of students cooking breakfast in the parking lot of Tartan High School, 828 Greenway Av. They agreed to stop blowing the air horn.

SEPT. 30

Theft. A man in the 6000 block of 52nd Street reported a pair of shorts and two T-shirts taken from the dryer in the laundry room of his building.

WOODBURY

SEPT. 30

Man sleeping on grass. A 20-year-old man sleeping in the 8200 block of Tamarack Village told police he had gotten off work at a nearby restaurant at 2 a.m., couldn't find a ride home and was tired. An officer who woke the man up at 9 a.m. transported him to his neighborhood in St. Paul.

OCT. 2

Exhibition driving. An officer stopped a vehicle after observing the driver make a left turn squealing his tires while at a high rate of speed. The driver was respectful and honest with the officer as they discussed the incident. He was given a verbal warning.
