JUNE 17

Loitering complaint. Four to six juveniles were reported hanging out in front of a home in the 14000 block of 15th Street. A deputy spoke to the juveniles, who were cooperative and polite. The juveniles explained they were taking night photos for a skateboarding website.

BAYTOWN TOWNSHIP

JUNE 14

Suspicious person. Someone in the 31000 block of Norcrest Avenue reported a man with a flashlight walking a dog on a trail behind their home. The complainant said the man walked in one direction and then ran quickly in the other direction. A deputy was unable to locate the man.

DELLWOOD

JUNE 18

Suspicious situation. Two people were reported loitering in a vehicle parked in the 93 block of Hwy 96. The two told a deputy they had run out of gas and were waiting for help from AAA.

JUNE 16

Noise complaint. The Sheriff's Department received a complaint from someone in the 12000 block of Osprey Avenue about airplanes taking off in the area early in the morning and late at night.

Suspicious activity. A resident in the 6600 block of 145th Circle reported someone playing ding dong ditch on them at 1 a.m. for the second night in a row.

MARINE ON ST. CROIX

JUNE 17

Property damage. Tire tracks were reported in a bean field on Orwell Road north of the railroad tracks. The property owner had no idea who might have caused the damage and requested extra patrols in the area.

OAKDALE

JUNE 13

Suspicious activity. A woman was observed taking mail from at least two mailboxes in the 500 block of Glenbrook Avenue and then driving away. A Woodbury officer stopped the woman, who explained that she was getting her mail and mail for her sister, who lives next door, and mail for a neighbor, who was out of town.

JUNE 16

Burglary. A Specialized road bike was stolen from a garage in the 6500 block of Upper 22nd Street. A Schwinn girls bike was left in the driveway.

Parking complaint. Someone in the 3900 block of Gresham Avenue Court reported vehicles parked on both sides of the street that made it hard for her to mow her lawn and for other vehicles to drive past. An officer observed the vehicles were legally parked.

SCANDIA

JUNE 17

Solicitor complaint. A resident in the 23000 block of Manning Trail complained about someone selling educational books in the area. The caller was advised the solicitor was not engaged in an illegal activity.

WOODBURY

JUNE 13

Suspicious activity. A man was observed walking through Wal-Mart, 10240 Hudson Road, with a stereo concealed under his shirt. When he attempted to return the stereo with no packaging, the store's security suspected he had just stolen it. An officer made contact with the man, who had purchased the stereo online. He had it under his shirt when he walked into the store because it was raining outside. He understood why his actions looked suspicious.

JUNE 14

Welfare check. An unattended, running lawn mower was reported in the area of Valley Creek Road and Interlachen Parkway. A short time after an officer arrived at the scene, its owner walked up. He told the officer that he left briefly to go get more fuel for the mower. The officer advised the owner not to leave the mower running unattended because it made people worry.
