Warning, Kloos named Big Ten hockey's weekly stars

Junior forward Warning honored in back-to-back weeks.

Another pair of Gophers were honored as Big Ten hockey's weekly Stars. Junior forward Sam Warning earned his second honor in two weeks, jumping to First Star. Freshman forward Justin Kloos was the Third Star.

Warning collected five points – three goals, two assists – in the Gophers 6-3 and 5-1 sweep of Bemidji State, last weekend. His nine points through four games are tied for the national scoring lead.

"Right now, I always say I have to give credit to my line mates, and I'm just trying to get pucks on net and they're going in right now," Warning said. (Hear more from the First Star below.)

Kloos also contributed five points – one goal, four assists – over the weekend. His overall six points are tied for the conference's freshman scoring lead.

Michigan freshman forward Tyler Motte was the Second Star.

Each of the first two weeks of Big Ten hockey's Three Stars have featured two Gophers and Wolverine.
