Rosemount sophomore Virginia Norder will be seeking her third consecutive trip to the Class 2A girls' tennis state tournament this fall. Here is a closer look at Norder:

The best movie I've seen in the past year? "Love Actually" is an all-time favorite movie of mine. It's one of those movies you can watch again and again.

Three songs I never skip on my iPod are ... "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw; "Don't Stop Believin" by Journey; and anything from Rent.

Three words or phrases my friends or teammates might use to describe me? Nice; energetic; focused.

Favorite meal before a match? A peanut butter sandwich.

At my first varsity practice, I felt ... a little intimidated. My teammates that year (seventh grade) were amazing. They made me feel 100 percent welcome and helped guide me.

How do you balance school and sports during the year? Organized chaos is a big part of the picture. Schoolwork always comes before tennis, so I try to finish assignments as soon as possible. I stay up late, get up early, do whatever it takes to get everything done. The night before each day, I plan out my schedule to get as much done as I can in a time efficient manner.

What have you been working on in the offseason? During the offseason I really concentrated on working out/off court training. My main goals were to increase my stamina and core strength.

Do you have a secret talent - and if so, what is it? Balancing a tennis racquet on my nose.

What is the best sports advice you ever received? "It's not over until it's over."
