The Vikings report to Mankato for training camp on July 28. Their first practice will be held the following day.

The Vikings did not reveal the rest of their training camp schedule, but there will be an evening practice at Blakeslee Stadium on Aug. 6. The practice will be followed by a team introduction and fireworks.

This is the 51st consecutive year the Vikings have held camp in Mankato.

The Vikings open the preseason at Cincinnati Aug. 12 and are expected to hold joint practices with the Bengals, coach Mike Zimmer's former team, before that game.

Their second preseason game is Aug. 18 at Seattle. Their final two preseason games will be played at home in the new U.S. Bank Stadium on Aug. 28 (San Diego) and Sept. 1 (Los Angeles).

Former Oregon and Houston Baptist defensive back Eric Amoako announced on Twitter he is transferring to the Gophers.

The 5-11, 195-pound Amoako will be eligible to play this fall as a graduate transfer, bolstering the team's depth at safety and at the nickel position. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

Amoako was a three-star recruit when he headed to Oregon out of Arlington (Texas) Martin High in 2012. He took a redshirt year and then appeared in one game for the Ducks in 2013 before transferring to Houston Baptist.

He had 60 tackles in 2014 and 31 in eight games last season.
