The Vikings have named Brent Salazar their strength and conditioning coach. He was the assistant strength coach for Kansas City the past nine seasons.

Salazar replaces Evan Marcus, who was fired following the season.

Salazar, a Denver native, played tennis at New Mexico, graduating in 2003 with a degree in exercise physiology. The team's release on his hiring is here.
