Mike Zimmer said Wednesday there is a "good chance" cornerback Xavier Rhodes will play Sunday in New England, but the key Vikings defender was unable to practice later that afternoon due to a hamstring injury suffered against the Packers on Sunday.

Rhodes injured his right hamstring while defending a 36-yard catch by Packers receiver Davante Adams at the end of the fourth quarter of the 24-17 win. Zimmer earlier this week called the injury "very, very mild," but it remains to be seen if he'll be able to practice and play against the Patriots.

Receiver Stefon Diggs was also held out Wednesday due to a knee injury. Diggs caught 8 of 11 targets for 77 yards and a touchdown against the Packers, while playing nearly every snap [66 of 70].

Tight end David Morgan (knee) and receiver Chad Beebe (hamstring) continued to be sidelined at practice.

The good news is linebacker Ben Gedeon is progressing through the concussion protocol. He returned to practice Wednesday after missing all of last week and sitting against the Packers.

Receiver Adam Thielen (calf) was also limited Wednesday.
