A splashy 'Aquaman'

In "Aquaman" (⋆⋆⋆; PG-13), Arthur Curry (amiable Jason Momoa) treads cautiously toward the prospect of being ruler of the waterworld. He's much more gung-ho about another title: King of the Quips. It's a crown that doesn't quite fit. His half-brother, Orm (Patrick Wilson), has had it up to here with landlubbers turning his oceans into a filthy Jacuzzi. And then there's the wrath of a pesky submarine pirate. Director James Wan has fun, with fight scenes reminiscent of the WWE.
