A newsworthy pairing
Steven Spielberg's stellar drama "The Post" (⋆⋆⋆, PG-13) is a sophisticated political thriller that's also a love letter to the newspaper industry. Set during the Vietnam War, it follows Meryl Streep as Washington Post publisher Katharine Graham and Tom Hanks as editor Ben Bradlee, facing a perilous decision: Should they release the top-secret Pentagon Papers, detailing the dark history of U.S. involvement in the conflict? The two actors strike sparks off each other like flint and steel.
