Hungry veterans are being offered free food by an army of restaurant chains this weekend in honor of Veterans Day.

The deals are split between Sunday, which is the official holiday, and Monday, which is when government agencies are observing it. Some offers require the purchase of a beverage. Most of the chains are making the offer to active and retired members of the military.

Here's a list of what some restaurants (in alphabetical order) are offering: Applebee's (any entree on Sunday), California Pizza Kitchen (pizza, Sunday and Monday), Chili's (entree, Sunday), Denny's (pancakes, Monday), Einstein Bros Bagels (bagels, Sunday), Golden Corral (entree, Monday), Hooters (wings, Sunday), McCormick & Schmick's (entree, Sunday), Olive Garden (entree, Sunday), Red Lobster (appetizers, Sunday), Outback Steakhouse (appetizers, Sunday and Monday) and T.G.I.Friday's (lunch, Monday).
