SALT LAKE CITY — Officials are lining up family-friendly movies for outdoor showings at the Utah Capitol this summer.

The Utah State Capitol Preservation Board has announced a "Movie under the Stars" series that starts July 12 with "The Amazing Spider-Man."

The Friday night movies begin at sunset on the southwest lawn of the Capitol, with live music by local bands beforehand.

The Capitol will show three other movies this summer: Disney's "Wreck-It Ralph" on July 26; "The World's Fastest Indian" starring Anthony Hopkins on Aug. 9; and the cartoon movie "Hotel Transylvania" on Aug. 23.

More information is on a Facebook page, "Movie Under the Stars at the Utah State Capitol."
