State Rep. Marty Seifert had been admitted to Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center after experiencing intense pain and shortness of breath the last few days, a GOP spokesman said Wednesday.
By Wednesday night, Seifert was back home resting. Tests showed Seifert had fluid build-up in his left lung, possibly related to pneumonia, said Kevin Watterson, a sp
okesman for the GOP caucus. Seifert, 38, lost the GOP endorsement battle to fellow Rep. Tom Emmer in April and previously said he would retire from the Legislature.
