A woman crashed her vehicle into a ditch north of the Twin Cities on Monday and was thrown to her death, authorities said.
The rollover crash occurred about 10:45 a.m. Monday in Bradford Township, roughly 8 miles north of Bethel, the Isanti County Sheriff's Office said.
The driver, a 41-year-old woman from Isanti, did not have on her seat belt, the Sheriff's Office added. Her identity has yet to be released.
A witness told authorities the woman was driving south on Palm Street at 285th Avenue NW. and crossed into the northbound lane. She overcorrected, veered into a ditch and rolled her vehicle.
Emergency responders started lifesaving efforts, but the woman was declared dead at the scene.
