ANKARA, Turkey — The head of a U.N. investigation team will meet Turkey's foreign minister for talks expected to center on Syria's alleged use of chemical weapons.

Turkey's Foreign Ministry said Swedish chemical weapons expert Ake Sellstrom is meeting Ahmet Davutoglu in Ankara on Thursday.

Syria has refused to allow the team into the country to investigate the allegations.

A U.N. diplomat told the AP in New York on Wednesday that Sellstrom was in Turkey, reportedly talking to doctors who treated victims of chemical use, and is expected to produce an interim report on his findings.

The diplomat also said Britain and the United States have notified the United Nations of 10 incidents of alleged chemical weapons use by the Syrian government.
