HONOLULU – Shawna-Lei Kuehu sent the game into overtime with a three-point basket, then made four free throws in the extra session to help Hawaii rally for a 77-71 victory over the Gophers women's basketball team Sunday in the Rainbow Wahine Showdown.

Rachel Banham's three-pointer from the left wing with six seconds remaining in regulation gave the Gophers a 66-63 lead. Kuehu's banked-in three-pointer at the buzzer tied the score.

Hawaii opened a six-point lead in overtime. The Gophers pulled within 72-68 with 1:22 remaining on a basket by Kayla Hirt, but Kuehu made two free throws with 22 seconds remaining to restore the six-point lead.

Kuehu finished with 19 points.

Banham, who was named tournament MVP, led the Gophers with 24 points. Amanda Zahui B. had 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Gophers (7-2), whose five-game winning streak ended.
