U.S. Bancorp has had a good week in the awards department.
The Minneapolis-based company tied with TD Bank for "best big bank" in a Money magazine ranking released Wednesday. The magazine praised U.S. Bank's broad geographic footprint and good marks for customer service, but said its mobile app "lags behind."
Also, the Ponemon Institute, an information and security research firm in Traverse City, Mich., named U.S. Bank the most trusted company for retail banking in privacy and security. Wells Fargo was tied for third.
