The three closest in-state teams to the X won't be there, but Bemidji State and UMD made it to the Final Five.

Thursday

Bemidji State (14-17-5, sixth seed) vs. Minnesota Duluth (22-9-6, third seed), 3:37 p.m. ... Sure seems like this matchup of Minnesota teams would draw better at night.

Alaska Anchorage (16-17-3, fifth seed) vs. Colorado College (21-17-3, fourth seed), 7:07 p.m. ... UAA is on a five-game winning streak. CC is the only team in the field that needed a third game to win its first-round series, beating Wisconsin 2-1 on Sunday.

Friday

Bemidji State-UMD winner vs. Denver (23-10-5, second seed), 2:07 p.m. ... DU won MacNaughton Cup last season which goes to WCHA regular-season champion but, for third year in a row, lost first game in NCAA tournament.

UAA-CC winner vs. North Dakota (28-8-3, first seed), 7:07 p.m. ... Sioux won MacNaughton Cup this season
