Minnesota History Center

The Minnesota History Center premieres two new exhibits on Saturday. "Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation" explores the Indian American experience in Minnesota and the country at large. The traveling exhibit was created by the Smithsonian's Asian Pacific American Center and features artifacts, oral histories and personal reflections. Opening day activities include a curator talk, dance performance and Indian textiles pop-up exhibit. Remember watching that "wascaly wabbit" on Saturday morning cartoons? See the work of the artist who brought Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, the Road Runner and other characters to life in "What's Up, Doc? The Animation Art of Chuck Jones." A traveling Smithsonian exhibit, 23 of Jones' animated films and more than 136 original sketches, drawings, storyboards and more are featured. (Opening day activities 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sat.) $6-$12. 345 W. Kellogg Blvd., St. Paul. 651-259-3000, minnesotahistorycenter.org.)
