Two goals in first three minutes spark Montreal over Florida

Tomas Tatar scored twice, including the go-ahead goal in the third period, and the Montreal Canadiens beat the Florida Panthers 5-3 on Friday night.

Jonathan Drouin had a goal and an assist, and Nicolas Deslauriers and Artturi Lehkonen also scored for the Canadiens, who scored twice in the first three minutes of the game and won their third straight.

N.Y. Islanders 6, Ottawa 3: Mathew Barzal had two goals and an assist to help the Islanders rally for a home win over the Senators. New York came back from a pair of two-goal deficits to win for the fifth time in six games.

Toronto 4, Columbus 2: John Tavares scored two goals, Garret Sparks had 27 saves and the Maple Leafs beat the Blue Jackets for their fifth consecutive win, matching the longest streak of the season. Columbus' five-game winning streak ended.
