Winter Meetings Confidential is back for another year! Let's get to the updates!

The Twins spent the day talking to clubs and agents about potential deals. GM Terry Ryan said progress was made but nothing is close.

There is interest in bringing lefthander Neal Cotts back. Cotts' agent is expected to meet with the Twins this week. Indications are that the club is ready to move on from Brian Duensing and Blaine Boyer. With Glen Perkins, Kevin Jepsen and Casey Fien coming back, the Twins feel like they have the makings of a good bullpen. That, however, depends on whom they add. They need a lefty badly. Could it be Tony Sipp or Antonio Bastardo? Will they take a chance on a Jerry Blevins? Righthander Shawn Kelley is another arm they have shown interest in, but the demand for his services is rising.

Former Twins Joe Nathan and Matt Guerrier are in Nashville trying to hook on with clubs. There doesn't appear to be any Twins interest.

The talk of the meetings so far is the expanding relief market, as some pitchers are fetching deals for $6 million and $7 million a year. Joakim Soria has agreed to a three-year, $25 million deal with the Royals that includes clauses in case he becomes a starter.
