Twins general manager Terry Ryan just informed the media that the exam of Matt Capps' shoulder came back worse than expected.
"He's going to have to be shut down," Ryan said.
The irritation in his rotator cuff is worse that the first time he came down with the condition, so it will take longer for the shoulder to recover. Capps will begin therapy immediately, but it sounds like he will miss several weeks,

Get used to seeing more games when Glen Perkins pitches the eighth inning then Jared Burton works the ninth.
And get used to games in which Burton pitches the eighth and Perkins the ninth.
And there could be more nights like on Tuesday when Perkins pitches the eighth, starts the ninth but gets pulled for Burton.
