Twins to take on Red Sox in spring training home opener

A sellout crowd is expected at Hammond Stadium tonight as the Twins, wearing their red uniforms, take the field

Miguel Sano didn't have a ball hit to him on Wednesday in his first game in right field. So we don't have anything to judge him on yet. Well, he looked like an outfielder at least.

Perhaps Boston hitters will make the young slugger work a little bit as he learns a new position. Sano, with Torii Hunter at his side most of the time, tracked fly balls in right field during batting practice prior to the Twins spring training home opener.

Righthander Tyler Duffey will start for the Twins, one day after manager Paul Molitor said the young man pretty much has a spot in the rotation. That leaves one spot open - and Tommy Milone the only starter who has not been promised a spot in the rotation yet.

Ricky Nolasco, Glen Perkins and Tyler Rogers are scheduled to follow Duffey.

Will check back soon with updates.
