The Twins signed Nick Buss, who won the Pacific Coast League batting title last season, to a minor league contract Wednesday. He is likely headed for Class AAA Rochester, which announced the signing.

The 31-year-old, lefthanded-hitting outfielder hit .348 with 38 extra base hits, including 11 home runs, and 55 RBI with Class AAA El Paso in the San Diego organization in 2017.

Buss has played in 44 major league games — 36 with the Angels in 2016 and eight with the Dodgers in 2013. He is 6-2 and 190 pounds and was an eighth round selection by the Dodgers in the 2008 draft out of Southern Cal.
