Twins, Orioles might have to become amphibious this week

Rain is in the forecast for all three days of the Twins-Orioles series. That could lead to some delays at Target Field.

UPDATE: Lefthander Ryan O'Rourke has cleared waivers and has been assigned to Class AAA Rochester. Still no word on the fate of righthander J.R. Graham who, like O'Rourke, was designated for assignment on Friday. He throws hard, so that could make him attractive to a team looking for bullpen help.

O'Rouke wil arrive at Rochester on Tuesday.

Lefthander Tommy Milone, placed on outright waivers last week, has arrived at Rochester.

The rain started falling around 12:30 p.m. in the west metro and, as I write this, is now coming down pretty good at Target Field.

Get used to it this week. Rain is in the forecast for all three days of the Twins-Orioles, which means there could be some delays at Target Field.

Is there a chance of a rainout this week. Sure, and it would probably give the Twins a chance to catch a breath, take a break or just hide after they went 1-5 on their road trip to fall to 8-23 on the season. But this is Baltimore's only trip here during the season. One Twins official told me that the league will be pushing teams to do all they can to get these gams in so, unless it keeps coming down the Twins will wait for that ever-elusive, `window,' to open to get the game in.

Actually, the radar suggests that this current batch of storms is about to move out. The next chance of showers is around 7 p.m.

So stay tuned.....
